20 Hour Foundations

The Path of the Seeker

Root into your body. Deepen your practice. Begin the Mandala.

Why Foundations?

Move beyond the mat and into embodiment during this four-week course.

Foundations is where students begin to uncover their own wisdom, their own alignment, and their own questions. Whether you’ve been practicing for ten weeks or ten years, Foundations is for anyone who has ever asked:

“Am I doing this right?”
“What is this shape supposed to feel like?”
“Why does my body do it differently?”

This course doesn’t give you a one-size-fits-all answer.
It helps you remember that you are the answer.

01.
What you will experience

Foundations is not a traditional training. It’s a body-based remembering. A space to slow down and root in.

You’ll:

  • Begin each day with The Sunday Reset, a grounding, experiential class. Become acquainted with somatic and gentle movement, breath practices, and restful guided meditation
  • Explore yoga shapes (asana) in your own body
  • Learn how to modify, adapt, and support your unique structure
  • Build awareness of your nervous system, emotions, and subtle sensations
  • Understand the why behind cues, props, and alignment
  • Move further into pranayama (breath practices), anatomy, yogic texts, and the subtle body, in practical and accessible ways
  • Meet with your facilitators for two live coaching calls + 4 class passes during the course

This is about building sovereignty in your body — not memorizing shapes.
You will leave with more confidence, clarity, and trust in yourself.

Danny

Danny is a graduate of Unity Yoga’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, and is currently enrolled in Unity’s 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training. Living with their own chronic physical and mental illness, Danny has a personal perspective for the complexities that we each bring to class. In the studio, Danny strives to foster a strong connection of breath and body, which facilitates strength, focus, and the unity of form and identity. As a queer person, Danny believes it is important to hold space for the vulnerable and marginalized among us, and that yoga can be a powerful tool for accessing our truest inner selves.
