Transparency Statement

At Unity, we believe healing is rooted in relationship — and relationship requires transparency.

We are a living, evolving community held by shared values, mutual care, and deep responsibility to one another.

This means we:

  • Make decisions with intention and care

  • Own our mistakes and seek repair when harm occurs

  • Tend to conflict with honesty, courage, and compassion

  • Stay in integrity with our energy, actions, and communication

Our leadership structure is not hierarchical. We move in concentric circles — with students at the heart, supported by teachers, leaders, and mentors. We operate in relationship, not authority.

We also acknowledge that we are:

  • Practicing on ancestral and unceded land

  • Receiving and transmitting yogic practices that do not originate from Western culture

With humility, we thank the land’s original stewards and the wisdom keepers of the yogic lineages. We bow to the traditions, cultures, and lineages that inform our work — and to the caretakers who continue to protect and carry them forward.

Unity is not a fixed structure — it is a living field, shaped by the energy of every person who enters. That includes you.

We also know that no space is perfect. That’s why feedback — especially about harm, discomfort, or disconnection — is not just welcome. It is vital.

If you have something to share with us — from deep gratitude to difficult truth — we invite you to do so directly or anonymously:

You may also email us directly at contact@unityyoga.guru or speak with any leadership team member you trust.

We promise to hold all feedback — especially about harm — with respect, confidentiality, and care.
You will not be dismissed. You will not be shamed.

Our Core Values

We are guided by 12 foundational values:

  • Commitment to Healing & Decolonization

  • Compassion

  • Personal Practice

  • Confidentiality

  • Service

  • Support & Transparency

  • Ecosystem Integrity

  • Direct Communication

  • Leadership Optics

  • Community Engagement

  • Guardianship

  • Transformation

These are not just words — they shape our space, our decisions, and our way of being.

You are welcome not only to practice here — but to shape what Unity becomes.
Together, we hold a sacred container.
Together, we grow.

At Unity, we are committed to operating with clarity, accountability, and care. We know that true healing spaces require more than beautiful words — they require energetic integrity, courageous leadership, and the willingness to listen and evolve.

We welcome your feedback.

Whether it’s naming harm, offering ideas, or reflecting on your experience — your voice is part of this community. You are not just a participant here — you help shape the field.

We are a living, learning organism. That means we will make mistakes. We will miss things. We will sometimes fall short. But we are committed to repair, reflection, and change — and we hold that commitment as sacred.

What Kind of Feedback is Welcome?

  • Experiences of harm, bias, or exclusion (direct or systemic)

  • Suggestions for more inclusive access, programming, or communication

  • Reflections on teacher-student dynamics or energetic alignment

  • Praise, affirmation, or requests for what’s working

  • Any energetic, emotional, or cultural impact that feels important to name

How to Share Feedback

We offer two pathways:

  1. Anonymous Form You can submit without your name anonymously

  2. Direct Communication with Leadership
You are always welcome to reach out to Arielle or Brittany for a 1:1 conversation or to ask for a mediated dialogue. We will listen with open hearts and open minds.

What Happens Next?

  • All feedback is received with respect and care.

  • If you submit anonymously, your identity will remain protected.

  • If contact information is provided, we aim to respond within 7–10 days.

  • When harm is named, we may initiate a process of reflection, conversation, and repair. This could include mediation, feedback loops, or policy shifts.

  • You will never be punished for naming your truth. We honor the courage it takes to speak.

Power Dynamics

We know that naming harm — especially when it involves a teacher, leader, or community member — can feel scary. That’s why this statement exists: to make it safe to speak, clear where to speak, and known that it matters.

Leadership at Unity does not seek to protect itself — it seeks to grow in service of the people who trust us.

Confidentiality and Integrity

  • Anonymous feedback remains anonymous unless safety concerns require escalation.

  • If a concern impacts the broader community, we may share a generalized summary or next step in community spaces.

  • Your story is not gossip. It is held as sacred truth — and we treat it with the care it deserves.

Acknowledgment of Lineage & Land

We are grateful recipients of ancient practices — yoga, meditation, somatics, and spiritual movement lineages — that have been lovingly tended by wisdom holders and cultural caretakers. We do not treat these traditions as ours to own. We are guests, students, and stewards.

We also acknowledge that Unity exists on unceded Indigenous land. We honor the ancestral stewards of this place — past, present, and future.

Studio Safety

For the safety of our community, Blink security cameras are installed at both our Chestnut Hill and Manayunk studios. Cameras are placed at studio entrances, inside practice spaces, and shared hallways — never in bathrooms or private areas.

Footage is used only in emergencies, never for marketing or livestreaming, and is stored securely under Blink’s default policy.
Only Arielle (studio owner) has access to recordings.

We’re committed to keeping your practice space safe, respectful, and rooted in trust.

A Final Word

Unity is a sacred web. Transparency is one of the threads.
Your words matter. Your perspective matters. Your care helps us care better.

This is not just a space of healing. It is a practice.
We are honored to walk it with you.
