Sacred Agreements: Our Energetic Boundaries

These are not rules. These are rituals of respect.

Before you step inside...

Unity is more than a place to practice yoga — it’s a space built with care.

Our agreements aren’t here to limit you; they’re here to hold you. They protect the energy of the room, honor your fellow students, and make sure every class feels safe, grounded, and welcoming.

Think of them less as rules, and more as shared rituals of respect that let the healing work unfold.

A yoga mat (community mats available if needed)
A water bottle

Your full self — however you’re showing up today

We provide props: blocks, bolsters, blankets, straps, and a warm welcome.

What Should I Wear?

Anything you can move, stretch, and breathe in.
No trends required — just comfort.

Tech Boundaries (Yes, This Matters)

All Unity Yoga spaces are tech-free, phone-free, and filming-free.

Phones stay in the cubbies — not your mat space

Apple Watches must be on silent

No texting during class

No photography or filming, ever

You are here to be in your body — not your notifications.

Arrival and Late Policy

Arrive 5–10 minutes before class begins

Doors lock at start time — there is no late entry

No exceptions

If you’re running late, take a deep breath and come back another time.
This boundary protects the energy of the class and honors those who arrived on time.

How to Book + Cancel
You can book and cancel classes through our website or the Momence app.

You must cancel at least 3 hours before class starts to avoid a fee.

We do not accept cancellations via:

DMs

Texts (even if we texted you first)

Emails

Phone calls

If you do not cancel yourself out of class properly, you will be charged the $20 no-show fee — even if you’re sick or something comes up.

This is your schedule, your responsibility.

How to Cancel Your Membership

You can cancel your membership directly through your Momence account.

  1. Log into your Momence account.

  2. Go to Settings → Memberships.

  3. Select the membership you want to cancel.

  4. Follow the prompts to complete the cancellation.

Your cancellation is not complete until it is submitted through your account.

What We Do NOT Accept as Membership Cancellations

We do not accept cancellations through:

  • Direct messages (DMs)

  • Text messages (even if we texted you first)

  • Emails

  • Phone calls

  • Telling a teacher in person

For accuracy and billing protection, all cancellations must be done by you through your account.
We cannot retroactively refund or reverse charges if the cancellation is not submitted correctly.

Respect for Teachers + Fellow Students

We ask — and expect — that all students treat our teachers and fellow practitioners with respect, reverence, and care.

This is not a gym.
This is not a transaction.
This is a living container, held by humans, with love.

We do not tolerate:

Entitlement.
Verbal aggression.
Blame, projection, or boundary-pushing.
Banging on locked doors or arguing about our late policy.
Unwanted touch, sexual comments, or advances of any kind.
Harassment—verbal, digital, or physical—toward any member of our community.

If you show up dysregulated and displace that energy onto our team or another student, you will be asked to leave.

We protect our teachers. Full stop.
We protect our students. Full stop.

We will always hold space for emotion, grief, vulnerability, and big feeling.
But we do not allow harm. Ever.

Our Studio Safety Commitment
  • Consent and respect are foundational to every interaction.

  • Communication about classes, cancellations, or payments must come through official studio channels—not personal texts or DMs to teachers.

  • In any situation that feels unsafe or inappropriate, we will take immediate action, including removal from classes or programs.

  • In true emergencies, call 911 first, then alert the studio team.

For the safety of our community, Blink security cameras are installed at both our Chestnut Hill and Manayunk studios. Cameras are placed at studio entrances, inside practice spaces, and shared hallways — never in bathrooms or private areas.

Footage is used only in emergencies, never for marketing or livestreaming, and is stored securely under Blink’s default policy.
Only Arielle (studio owner) has access to recordings.

We’re committed to keeping your practice space safe, respectful, and rooted in trust.

Our space is built for healing, creativity, and trust.
When everyone honors the same boundaries, we all thrive.

Can I arrive early or stay after class?

Yes. And we encourage it.
Come early to sip tea, ground, breathe, and connect.
Stay after to stretch, journal, or dream out loud.

This isn’t a studio that kicks you out.
This is a space to return to yourself.

Accessibility

Unity Yoga is a trauma-informed space for all bodies and all nervous systems.

If you have specific needs — physical, sensory, or otherwise — email us in advance.
We’ll do our best to support you and make the space feel safe.

Scents + Sensitivities

Please avoid strong perfumes or body sprays.
Light essential oils are okay — but be mindful. We share breath and space.

First Time Here? We Got You.

This might feel like a lot. That’s okay.
You don’t have to be perfect — just present.

Arrive a little early.
Let the space welcome you.
We’ll guide you from there.

Final Words

Our teachers begin holding you in their field before you even arrive.
We take that sacred responsibility seriously — and we ask the same of you.

These sacred agreements are how we walk together in integrity.
They protect the energy. They protect the work.
And they protect the wild, beautiful healing that happens when everyone shows up with respect.
