Foundations Classes

For Brand New Beginners

You don’t need to know a thing before stepping in — this is where you learn, grow, and feel supported from day one.

Here’s how to start

At Unity, we created Foundations classes specifically to meet and support brand new beginners.

You don’t need to memorize poses, learn Sanskrit, or have any experience at all — this is where you learn how yoga works and how to feel at home in our studio.

We’ll walk you through the basics, orient you to the space, and give you the tools to feel confident in your practice.

From there, you can explore our Slow Flow classes, which are designed to soothe body and mind through gentle, grounding movement. When you’re ready to build more strength while still moving at a steady, supportive pace, Level 1 Slow + Strong is your next step.

Our Foundations pathway makes yoga accessible, unintimidating, and sustainable — a rhythm you can actually stick with.

What to bring?

What to wear

Wear anything comfortable that you can move in — yoga clothes, sweats, or whatever helps you feel grounded and at ease. No need to dress up. This is about feeling your body, not performing in it.

What to bring

Bring a yoga mat, a water bottle, and anything you need to feel supported. Don’t have a mat? No problem — we’ve got extras at the studio you’re welcome to use.

Foundations Practices

Classes that root you in awareness, alignment, and the fundamentals of yoga.

Perfect for beginners or anyone returning to basics.
